EVP Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

We have a tremendous opportunity available for an EVP Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to build upon our existing commitments and lead the acceleration of our efforts towards ensuring our mission is achieved equitably and inclusively, for our employees, our authors and our readers.

The EVP DEI will report to our U.S. CEO and serve on our U.S. Board. This board level role is new, and will join our DEI-dedicated team of 2.

Who you are and what you’ll do:

A Strategic Executor

  • You will build a comprehensive DEI strategy which will direct and align all of our myriad DEI work across the company, ensuring that we launch cohesive programming rather than single initiatives.
  • You will operationalize our strategy by identifying the DEI implications in every part of our business including our content, our consumers, and our processes and help drive ownership of best practices within our teams.
  • You will support the embedding of diversity and inclusion efforts that successfully attract, retain, and advance a diverse workforce into all talent attraction, retention, evaluation and development strategies in close partnership with the HR, L&D and Talent teams.

An Influencer and Champion

  • You’re a DEI champion who will influence change by identifying opportunities, anticipating and addressing obstacles and generating alternative solutions.
  • You’ll be able to drive results even where you do not have “formal” authority.
  • You will help galvanize leadership teams around a shared change mandate that leads to defined outcomes.
  • You’ll be a good manager and will mentor , direct, and continue to develop a small team.

Data-Savvy and Externally Aware

  • You’ll take a metric-driven approach by establishing KPIs and an accountability strategy (scorecards, benchmarking, etc.) to keep us focused on our goals and allow us to track progress.
  • You’ll be a thought leader on best in class DEI policies and programs with the ability to leverage and cultivate relationships with industry experts.

A Pragmatic Disruptor

  • You will help us all question the status quo and longstanding systems and processes.
  • You’ll bring bold , fresh ideas with a focus on the positive impact they will have on the business.
  • You’ll also know when to pivot and refocus on core priorities depending on the developmental stage of the company .
  • You will be able to demonstrate perseverance and resilience when some pieces of progress are slow.

A Skilled Communicator

  • You will capably and compellingly communicate both internally and externally on behalf of PRH.
  • You will have the ability to ask difficult questions , and also accept direct feedback .
  • You will have strong coaching skills to work with and guide teams across the business, including executive and leadership teams, our D&I Council and our divisional D&I committees, through stages of change.

Experienced

  • You’ll need to have at least 10 years of experience in a senior DEI role or related executive role and be a proven leader with a demonstrated record of success.
  • You’ll have a proven track record of leading transformational initiatives, ideally in a decentralized environment.
