Position title: Marketing Specialist - Trade Marketing - DYMO
Location: Hamburg, Germany
Reports to: Senior Trade Marketing Manager EMEA / APAC
Contract type: Permanent, full-time
Job summaryAs a Marketing Specialist, you will commercialize sales and marketing programs across all Channels of distribution within D-A-CH markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and Nordic Region, identifying and executing top customer and channel-specific business growth opportunities, aligning to strategic direction and priorities identified by Senior Trade Marketing Manager.
You will work cross functionally to prepare and execute the plans, this includes from aligning on priorities, planning NPD, ensuring strong presence at key trade periods, implementation of set plans and post implementation review.
Key responsibilities: - Articulates Channel / Customer Plans to sales – aligning to established priorities and standardized approach
- Supports sales with joint business planning and line reviews with top priority customers (product listings, launch activation, sales support plans, and other key period insights)
- Drives the assortment by channel in D-A-CH and Nordic Region. Reviews the gaps and targets those as part of annual planning.
- Shares D-A-CH & Nordic Region market insights and gives input to TM Manager and Sales Managers to strengthen trade strategies and sales plans
- Implement new product launch and merchandising activities for Channels across D-A-CH & Nordic Region countries
- Manages and enables launch activation tactics for D-A-CH & Nordic Region markets
- Checks and shares core and NPD information to assist with Line Reviews, cross checks logistical master data.
- Works with DYMO Brand Activation on local needs & channel/ top customer specific marketing material for execution of key initiatives / promotions.
- Tracks and monitors local sales, pricing and market activities from customers and competition
- Supports sales with external customer visits (top priority customers and top priority plans identified with Senior Trade Marketing Manager DYMO and Senior Sales Manager)
- Proofread translations when required and modify/adapt master artworks working with the creative team.
- Ensures communication with sales and demand planners for correct annual and promotional product forecasting.
- Monitors accuracy and deployment of plans as well as channel performance
- Tracks marketing spend vs budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (business/marketing or related field)
- 3+ years of experience in an international CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) company on a similar position, working with technical products
- Good command of MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Word
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Ready for business travels (no more than 25% in average)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with syndicated data, measures and software (e.g. POS, NPD, Nielsen, GfK, IRI, Consumer Panel, Spectra, ECRM or Market Track, XP3, etc.)
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
- Demonstrated success in leading Category Management (Category Captain) engagements is an advantage.
- Advanced analytical skills
- Multi-channel experience and shopper understanding
- Knowledge of any Nordic language would be a plus
