Area Reliability Technician
King’s Lynn, UK
Salary: £31,000 - £39,000 + bonus + Benefits
Due to growth and a vision of leading the way in technical excellence, we are looking for Area Maintenance Technicians to join our Food production team in Kings Lynn. Working closing with the production operatives, these roles drive reduction in technical downtime through initiatives, strategies and projects.
What you will do
Within your area of responsibility you will:
- Own and be the technical expert of the assets.
- Be the owner of Technical DT, implementing and providing feedback for continuous improvement of reliability strategy and physical support for area DT.
- Close out relevant EDPS (Everyday problem solving) forms through asset care strategy and problem solving.
- Diagnose and fix plant and site services reliability and breakdown issues (help or cover shift team).
- Support Technical coordinators when priority dictates.
- Drive Technical training and knowledge sharing across days, shift technical and operations teams.
- Own the Planned Maintenance strategy to minimise technical losses.
- Ensure Planned Maintenance completion and quality is of a very high standard.
- Responsible for the input into the site AHC strategy, identifying key assets that require upgrade
- Responsible for implementation of site safety and quality standards ensuring conformity across assets.
- Management of any contractors or 3rd party support.
- Maintenance representative on projects.
- Ensure Technical compliance in relation to safety, quality and engineering.
- Upskill of operations team through AM implementation and support as per Mars Supply Excellence Pillar.
What we want from you
- HNC/HND level or equivalent in an Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic disciplines.
- Demonstrable experience in the maintenance or reliability area.
- Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis of technical issues with practical technical skills.
- Proven ability to implement reliability Planned Maintenance strategies
- Continuous Improvement mind-set
