Udacity’s Chief of Staff will directly support our CEO, Gabe Dalporto. You will work across multiple levels of the company to drive key initiatives, working proactively to address operational rhythms, business processes, communications and procedures to improve the effectiveness of the leadership team, and the overall organization. We are looking for a Chief of Staff who operates successfully with a high level of autonomy, supports a high performing leadership team, displays creative thinking, and discretion to advance Udacity’s priorities and effectively leverage the CEO's time. The Chief of Staff is a highly visible role that partners with Gabe and our executive leadership team around the world.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as an advisor and trusted partner to the CEO to drive strategic initiatives and provide thought leadership and synthesized cross functional perspectives to inform key strategic decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for better cross team collaboration, and ensure follow through on execution across Udacity.
  • Lead quarterly Strategy Reviews and OKR process at Udacity, in collaboration with the functional heads.
  • Create and execute CEO communications strategy and collateral in collaboration with Marketing leadership. Own the preparation and production of CEO presentations, including board meetings, all hands meetings, internal and external speaking engagements, off sites, and events.
  • Work closely with the executive assistant to the CEO to ensure the appropriate management of the CEO's calendar so all priorities are met and proactively planned for.

What We Value

  • Four-year degree required; graduate degree preferred.
  • Seven years' experience in program management, business operations, consulting, communications.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience and comfort interacting across levels of an organization, including board members and senior executives.
  • Strong program management skills with an ability to balance high-priority initiatives.
  • An ability to work with and influence a global team.
