What You Will Do

As an Associate with St. Vincent's HealthCare-FL, you will have the opportunity to provide behavioral health counseling services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.
  • Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
  • Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
  • Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
  • Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • One or more of the following:
      • Counselor obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Education:

  • Master's level - LCSW, LMFT or LMHC

Work Experience:

  • 2-3 years of behavioral health experience post licensure.
  • Experience conducting group therapy required.
  • Expertise treating mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Experience with day treatment programs and ASAM criteria preferred.
