We are currently seeking a Test Manager to join our team in Tiverton, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

Role:

Manage all aspects of testing strategy through execution. Provide guidance and oversight to the Test Coordinator and to the Lead Business Analyst and other roles as relates to the testing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the development of the testing strategy with service provider and Lead Business Analyst.
• At the outset of the project, test leaders, in collaboration with the other stakeholders, devise the test objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies and test plans.
• Manage the planning, monitoring, and control of the testing activities and tasks.
• Ensure all test plans and cases are documented for the various work groups and work streams.
• Work with team to standardize approach, tools, documentation and logs.
• Determine when/what test automation is appropriate and, if it is, plan the effort, select the tools, and ensure training of the team.
• Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test suites.
• Ensure proper configuration management of the test ware produced and traceability of the tests to the test basis.
• As test execution comes near, make sure the test environment is put into place before test execution and managed during test execution.
• Schedule the tests, working with project office, for execution and then they monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.
• Maintain defect tracking and provide defect summary reports.
• Determine and route reported defects appropriately based on requirement analysis.
• During test execution and as the project winds down, write summary reports on test status.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
• University degree with minimum 10 years of industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of IT SDLC.
• Strength in Test Strategy, Test Plan and Test Case development.
• Experience identifying, implementing and using testing automation and defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical and quality assurance and testing skills both manual and automated testing.
• Detail analysis reports based on activities and operational metrics.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in the use of tools to document requirements and scope.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
