RBC Global Asset Management (GAM) has an exciting new opportunity focused on client service excellence. Help us differentiate GAM and position us with each client to be their first call for their investment needs. As a Client Service Analyst, you will work closely with our Institutional Portfolio Manager (IPM) to assist with the management of all aspects of investor-related activity.

What will you do?

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the range of products within the asset class, namely global fixed income.
  • Work collaboratively with a number of different RBC GAM / BlueBay teams – distribution, client service, marketing, compliance to ensure that ongoing communication and service is timely, accurate, and robust.
  • Work with marketing teams on the production and maintenance of presentations, newsletters and other marketing collateral – both standard and customized.
  • Assist with the preparation for client meetings, roadshows, conferences and other marketing events by compiling important investor-specific information (firm overview, exposures, existing investments, consultant involvement, etc.).
  • Proactively think of ways to assist the IPM in support of sales processes / focused marketing campaigns.
  • Assist Institutional Portfolio Managers with the management of current client / prospect relationships and work closely with the research teams and the trading desks to monitor portfolio activity and advise the research teams when needed of client requests, inquiries and mandate changes.
  • Collaborate with the Institutional Portfolio Manager and research teams to help suggest or develop investment solutions, and assist with developing investment policy statements as needed.
  • Monitor compliance reports and respond to or communicate potential trade when needed and review client reporting to ensure accuracy of data provided to clients meets the requirements, standards and quality of the client and RBC GAM.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance, Economics or other related field) with 2+ years’ institutional investment experience.
  • Passion for and detailed understanding of investment securities and portfolio management concepts, with a focus on fixed income and global credit.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Passion for client service excellence and high standard for personal performance.
  • Able to plan, organize and prioritize in an efficient and productive manner.

Nice-to-have

  • CFA or willingness to pursue.
  • Series 7 and 66 (or 65/66) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
