JOB SUMMARY Working under moderate supervision, conducts and documents moderate to complex financial analysis, financial reporting and ad hoc finance projects. Aids organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control. Leads special projects and other assigned initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Underwrite multifamily opportunities in Washington, Oregon and Utah using discounted cash flow methodology and other valuation metrics
Value land sites for multifamily development using yield on cost methodology
Help with preparation of marketing materials, BOVs, OMs and pitch materials, primarily focused on financial sections which includes asset valuation, sales comparables and rent comparables
Responsible for ensuring timely completion of client deliverables
Familiar with real estate financial calculations including cap rates, IRR, NPV, CoC, YoC, LTV, DSCR
Review listing agreements to ensure accurate fee information among other major terms
Maintain multifamily sales comp and land comp files
Answer investor questions during marketing process regarding underwriting assumptions, asset characteristics, investment themes, submarket information and competitive positioning
Answer ad-hoc requests for information from investors regarding general market information
Help maintain and update CBRE Seattle market report and other research/marketing documents
Oversee other analysts on the team and manage workflow
Assist in investor property tours
Help with coordination of due diligence process
Ability to summarize LOIs and major terms in bid matrix for presentation to ownership
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May lead project teams and/or plan staff assignments. Duties may encompass technical guidance and/or training of co-workers as well as policy development and participation in special initiatives such as modeling, system implementations or acquisition integrations. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a business related field plus a minimum of four years related experience. Familiarity with Seattle real estate market – submarkets, employers, recent transactions (preferred)
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES None required. WA real estate license preferred
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information in written and verbal form to subordinates, customers and supervisors.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires strong knowledge of financial terms, concepts and accounting principles and the ability to comprehend and interpret complex financial transactions.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and transactions and accounting principles. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team. Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired such as HFM Consolidation, PeopleSoft Financials and Cognos Planning. Knowledge of real estate service industry and terminology is helpful. Strong work ethic and adaptable.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
