Job Description

Penguin Random House has an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable, collaborative and data-driven online advertising specialist to join our innovative Retail Advertising team. Sitting within the wider Online & Digital Sales team, the Manager, Retail Advertising will be help implement our Amazon advertising strategy by planning, initiating and optimizing campaigns that effectively leverage Amazon’s advertising platform to find, attract and engage audiences with a wide range of titles from across the full Penguin Random House list. The role will also include serving as a liaison with key stakeholders, working closely with marketing contacts to plan campaigns against specific KPIs, communicating results and providing data insights that help inform future strategy.

Some of the specific responsibilities include:

  1. Serving as a representative on a dynamic team responsible for delivering the end-to-end planning, execution and refinement of Amazon Advertising campaigns.
  2. Collaborating on the development and optimization of our Amazon Advertising strategy to drive product discovery and sales.
  3. Researching, testing and implementing Amazon Advertising best practices across the full suite of Amazon Advertising products.
  4. Understanding Amazon search term insights and applying these to campaign strategy.
  5. Assessing detailed advertising data to inform campaign management.
  6. Defining relevant KPIs and performance tracking frameworks.
  7. Serving as a contact for key business stakeholders to field queries, and prepare and present relevant reports to convey results and insights.

Please apply if you meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on measurable outcomes
  • Interest in and in-depth knowledge of search insights and CPC advertising
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team (currently in a remote environment due to pandemic)
  • A critical thinker with a proven ability to analyze, interpret and leverage complex data using different reporting tools and platforms to identify trends, opportunities and influence decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize, especially when working on competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to fluid and/or changing processes
  • Experience with Amazon Advertising is a plus
