SUMMARY & ROLE INFORMATION
As a Data Scientist for AI Enablement, you will be working at the intersection of delivering AI products and helping others to understand, implement, and consume them. In this role you will team up with our experienced researchers, software engineers and AI experts. Your tasks include:

• Assessing the business value of AI research outcomes, translate them into product features and communicate them to internal and external stakeholders
• Evaluating existing and upcoming platform assets, validating them in practice via PoCs, and create content to support customer adoption
• Observing public discussions on AI, provide feedback on political and regulatory initiatives, and contributing to public AI-related discussions

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
As an ideal candidate, you are self-managed, goal-oriented, and flexible, you have a background in IT and experience with creating and applying AI, and you have fun to explain and discuss complex technical matters with non-experts.

Required Skills:

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research or related fields
• Good knowledge of AI, i.e. creating machine learning models and applying them
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, in English and German

Preferred Skills:

• PhD degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research or related fields
• Work experience in applying AI in an industry context
• Experience in engaging with public agencies, associations or NGOs

Technology & Innovation (T&I) is responsible for SAP’s overall platform and technology development such as SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA. In addition, T&I drives the incubation and adoption of intelligent technologies like Analytics, AI and HANA across SAP’s product portfolio. The T&I board area is also in charge of SAP’s global innovation agenda and builds new business model- and market-driven innovations to help customers realize the most business value.
The AI unit is part of SAP’s intelligent technologies portfolio and one of the key drivers of the Intelligent Enterprise. It is our mission to infuse SAP’s enterprise applications and business processes with artificial intelligence and to empower our customers to make the most of their business data.
