Purpose and Objectives of the Job:

This is a unique opportunity to combine academic study with industry experience with the world’s leading business software provider SAP. This dual study program will kick start students’ careers by giving them an opportunity to put their academic studies to immediate use in industry. In tandem they will be able to bring real industry insight back to their academic pursuits.

Education / Qualification, Skills & Competencies:

- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor program at Dublin City University (DCU), Technological University of Dublin (TUD), National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG), University College Dublin (UCD) or Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT).

- Have 4 semesters of a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or Enterprise Computing, completed by June of second year.

- Students must be on track to obtain a minimum 2.2 Honors Degree.

- Experience in one or more programming languages a plus (e. g. ABAP, JAVA, C++, other).

- Ideally 380+ Points in Leaving Certificate or equivalent experience

- Excellent English communication skills, additional language skills a plus

- A clear understanding of how experience with SAP can kick start your career ambition

Expectation and Tasks of the Job:

What you can expect?

- 23 Month SAP “STAR Student” Contract

- 2 Paid practical placements @ €1,948/ month (3 & 6-8 Months)

- 1st Summer placement 2021 in Product Support for SAP HANA / FIORI / Success Factors

- 2nd placement in SAP Ireland’s Centre of Excellence (Developer & Business Analyst Roles)

- 14 months of study stipend @ €650/ month

- Opportunity to rotate into various roles and responsibilities
