Reporting to the EMEA Group Marketing Manager – Male Health, this role will be responsible for owning the franchise responsibilities for our Hydro Gel Spacing Franchise (SpaceOARTM / SpaceOARTM VUE).

Location: This role can be based in any Boston Scientific main Hub (France-Voisins le Bretonneux, United Kingdom-Hemel Hempstead, Italy-Milan, Germany-Ratingen, Spain-Madrid, Poland-Warsaw)

Key responsibilities:

  • Marketing and Strategic Planning (Strat Plan): Lead the strategic planning efforts for SpaceOAR across existing and new markets through situational analysis, macro and micro factors, identifying barriers and drivers, and exploiting new opportunities in line with franchise strategies and global guidelines to drive growth.
  • Business Planning (AOP): Drive Annual Operating Plans and lead execution of AOP (budgets/ resources/ activities etc.) for SpaceOAR across EMEA
  • Define franchise marketing/strategic priorities and key activities for the preceding AOP to ensure alignment across functions and countries. Ensure completion on time and on budget for agreed marketing priorities/activities
  • Drive activities that support achievement of franchise sales budget; Control and management of franchise marketing OPEX; demand forecasting, field backorders; Comply with legal requirements; Drive consistent marketing process; Facilitate and initiate cross franchise/department divisional communication; Coordinate and work with Regulatory/Clinical to ensure to timely product launches;
  • Manage and develop the marketing and sales training of the distributors ensuring the dissemination of marketing materials and support in market sales/marketing activities
  • Coordinate and work with other divisions/franchises/cluster managers to achieve the company goals, including new market initiatives, new technologies, KOLs, GPOs, and risk management.
  • Lead execution of market analysis activities (Market research, identification of new opportunities, therapies, technology advancement competitors etc.) to generate insights and support development of marketing strategies and feed back into the EMEA and Global franchise Marketing.
  • Product Launch Excellence: Lead and monitor the execution of product centric plans (like new product launches etc.); oversee coordination with operations team to manage the supply chain for products, review monthly forecasts, backorders & plan inventory transitions for new products, track portfolio performance and ensure accurate and timely reporting across the region for own franchise
  • Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders/ KOLs/ economic buyers and influencers as relevant to domain; participate in conferences/ symposiums, guide program design in order to develop advocates to communicate key company messages to the medical community; network with counterparts in BSC global to drive regional objectives
  • Liaise with regional & in country sales leadership to align sales and marketing objectives; drive sales team capability needs assessment and guide programs for capability building on products and clinical messaging; align with local marcomms and global to identify marketing collateral and disseminate them in country to ensure achievement of franchise marketing objectives and sales support as required.
  • Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific; As interface to Customer and Sales Organization has direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and process to identify, notify and ensure any complaints or problems are addressed, thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors; Responsible to facilitate and champion the quality requirements and the message of compliance to internal and external customers for all events and campaigns.
  • European travel required (50% +)


Management requirements:

  • Manage and develop the EMEA SpaceOARTM Product Manager
  • Fulfil Boston Scientific’s People Leadership requirements with direct reports


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of Marketing experience in the Medical Device industry.
  • Radiation Oncology Experience a definite plus.
  • Experience in organizing and executing both European and events and exhibitions is a must.
  • Fluent in speaking and writing in English is a must.
  • An additional European language is a plus.
  • High degree of skill in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience of owning and managing significant Opex budgets.
  • Experience of designing, planning and executing Marketing campaigns a definite plus.
  • Experience of working in a Matrix Business Structure a plus.
