Opportunity

The Digital Innovation DevOps team at Insight is seeking a passionate Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. The DevOps / Infrastructure practice are practitioners of lean engineering, a high velocity product development process that applies Lean methodology, service oriented patterns and practices and cloud platform capabilities for the design and development of modern multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service solutions. We provide these services to our clients who are business of all sizes from startups to fortune 100 companies. What is consistent across our clients is that they are interested in transforming their business through modern Software as a Service offerings and have engaged Insight’s Digital Innovation team to deliver on that vision.

We are looking for someone who has some or all of the following capabilities:

• A demonstrable understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle.
• Has experience working closely with IT Operations, IT Development and IT Security teams to promote a DevOps culture.
• In depth understanding of continuous integration, continuous delivery, software configuration management, version control and release management.
• In-depth experience in automation (Infrastructure-as-Code).
• Experience as a developer that is equally comfortable with C# and PowerShell, Azure ARM Templates, and Terraform.
• Has a passion for doing things right, the first time
• Expert in Docker/Kubernetes

Skills Required

We are looking for individuals who have experience with some or all of the following or equivalent:

• Cloud Computing services, specifically AWS or Microsoft Azure
• Version control solutions, specifically Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps
• DevOps methods (integration & automation)
• Continuous integration, continuous delivery/deployment tooling such as Azure DevOps/Jenkins
  • Designing both build and release pipelines
• Configuration management tooling such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• Automated tested tools such as Selenium
• Collaboration tooling such as Atlassian, Azure DevOps toolset
• Containerization orchestration such as Kubernetes, AKS or similar
• Working within Scrum, Kanban or Lean methodologies
• Good knowledge and hands on experience of Windows and Linux based operating systems

70-75% remote work. Aka working from home Office. Less than 20-30% onsite / travel.
