About the team

The Platform & System Operations (PSO) organization within the Global Cloud Services (GCS) group operates shared IaaS platforms in SAP data centres (DCs) and delivers SAP systems on top of the IaaS platforms (private or public cloud). We adapt, innovate and simplify to achieve “stability, speed and scalability” in order to achieve SAP's business objectives. We:

• Operate Compute/Storage stacks of the IaaS platforms in SAP DCs globally to deliver PaaS/SaaS solutions to SAP customers.
• Deliver and operate SAP Product Development, Demo, Training, Consulting & Support systems.
• Ensure maximum uptime and OLA adherence by applying DevOps and ITSM principles.
• Drive continuous improvement towards integrated and intelligent automated operations.

The role

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual to drive and manage SAP cross-functional strategic transformative projects and operation excellence with Management Board-level visibility.

Expectations & Tasks

• Own and lead program management for complex strategic initiatives that span across multiple units or line of businesses.
• As a program manager, lead various project managers to manage strategic and complex programs requiring critical stakeholder management, cross-functional alignment, and global collaborations
• Oversee and assess integrated project expectations, plans, resource projections, risk plans, deliverables and effectiveness metrics for each program/project.
• Identify opportunities, propose and establish OKR to lead transformative change, and deep dive to drive continuous operational improvement
• Work Singapore late hours daily with EMEA/US colleagues

Qualifications

• Master or degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Experience in large scale Cloud Infrastructure Operations, DevOps, Agile and SCRUM, ITSM.
• 10+ years experienced in leading and managing programs and teams (with and without direct authority) for tangible deliverables with shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
• Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment, drive and collaborate across multiple organizations and stakeholders to achieve a common business objective.
• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations in global setup.
• Proven ability in solving complex problems with focus, prioritization & decisiveness.
• Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
• Solid understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Ex-head of IT infrastructure operation preferred.
• Experience in infrastructure operation transformation from legacy to cloud native preferred.
