Role Value Proposition:


The Global Procurement Analyst Intern will join a sourcing or procurement operations team for a ten-week period over the summer of 2021 and will be responsible for supporting data analysis, sourcing activities, strategy development, process improvement and other activities that follow the Source to Pay process.

Key Responsibilities :


• Assist with the development and implementation of sourcing and operational strategies
• Support the Supplier Sourcing and Procurement Operations groups with various issues and projects.
• Provide and prepare robust reporting and metrics
• Identify sourcing and operational improvement opportunities in assigned space through data analysis, industry market intelligence and working relationships with stakeholders
• Perform due diligence on pricing, internal reviews, vendor capacity, vendor financial status, vendor selection, process map reviews, standard operating procedure development
• Utilize e-Procurement, e-sourcing tools for establishing sourcing projects and RF(x)’s
• Ensure contracts and Statements of Work (SOW’s) include appropriate vendor performance requirements, key performance measures, vendor reporting requirements, and service level requirements.
• Partner with Legal and stakeholders to develop and negotiate contracts specific to assigned categories and in various regions
• Maintain vendor relationships and stay abreast of market trends, including identification of opportunities, issues, market conditions and economic indicators for assigned commodities or vendors.
• Plan actions to obtain cost reductions and process improvements through sourcing events and vendor management.
• Communicate Finance Policy and Procurement Policy and processes to internal customers and to vendors and apply these policies to sourcing activities.

Requirements:


• Rising junior or senior students actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Motivated team player with sound judgment and problem solving skills
