Position Summary:
This position performs technical integration assessments, provides technical consulting and project management, certifies integrated vendor application releases and 3PA product releases, performs routine system maintenance on applications and systems, facilitates customer simulation testing of application changes, and provides tier 3 technical support for vendor integration issues.
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for providing technical consulting to third party vendors and managing the vendor as they progress through the integration certification process. Expected to be able to work with multiple vendors
in various stages of the certification process simultaneously;
• Responsible for coordinating with 3PA Sales Engineers to providing technical integration assessments for third party vendor applications;
• Responsible for providing technical support to the Third Party Access R&D team and certifying Third Party Access product prior to the release of product for use by third party vendors;
• Responsible for serving as a technical contact and liaison to other CDK R&D Application teams for the 3PA Program;
• Responsible for troubleshooting product development and production support application integration issues as necessary. Serves as the Tier 3 escalation point for production support issues escalated by
3PA Support;
• Responsible for tracking billable consulting hours and billing vendors when consulting hours exceed established contract limits;
• Responsible for coordinating and managing customer simulation testing of DMS applications and EIP changes with integrating vendor partners;
• Responsible for acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of integrated CDK applications;
• Responsible for contributing to efforts to continuously improve organizational processes, such as the identification and documentation of standards and best practices related to the activities of their role in
3PA Program.
Qualifications Required:
• Experience working with software requirements, troubleshooting software issues, and testing software to ensure that it meets requirements;
• Experience working with and/or supporting DMS applications such as F&I, Accounting, Parts, and Service. 4-5 years’ experience required;
• Experience working with DMS query language and DMS operating system;
• Preferred experience within the automotive industry and automotive dealership management;
• Must be able to work with very little supervision;
• Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills;
• Strong communication skills are required as this is a customer facing position;
• Strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple concurrent projects;
• Strong understanding business environments and associated processes and to effectively communicate about them to a technical audience;
• Ability to effectively manage the expectations of Customers, Product/Program/Project Managers, Developers, and QA Engineers.
