DescriptionJoining Intuitive Surgical means joining a team dedicated to using technology to benefit patients by improving surgical efficacy and decreasing surgical invasiveness, with patient safety as our highest priority.
Primary Function of Position:
Maintain the Service Operations FRU/Component Forecast File. Responsible for working cross departmentally on a frequent basis with Service Planning, Production/Inventory Control, Production Planners, and Buyers to fill and optimize the Service Operations FRU and Consumable inventory network. Performs the forecast load and MRP maintenance in the ERP system per Intuitive's SOX policy.
Roles & Responsibilities: - Create and administer material transfer orders as required by variable demand patterns based on production volumes and planner feedback
- Track forecast versus actual shipments for FRU and Component demand to Service and inter-plant within Service.
- Report on the Inventory and Demand strategy with Service Operations,Systems/Vision, and Purchasing.
- Enter the forecasts in SAP and drive daily pull-in/push-out's based on delivery performance and actual demand realization.
- Facilitate Inter-plant demand optimizations through BOD management and alignment with the various Plant Operations and their evolving processes.
- Provide buyer and planner MRP support and communicate material shortages.
- Drive On-Time Delivery reporting for Inter-Plant STO's
- Implement ECO changes impacting internal material replenishment in Service Operations.
- Assist in reporting on inventory accuracy, root cause analysis and trends to improve cycle count and distribution performance.
- Maintain, report and drive improvements to internal replenishment processes. Including DOH metrics for WIP locations.
- Other duties as assigned by Production Control Supervisor
QualificationsSkills, Experience, Education, & Training: - BS preferred (or equivalent work experience), and minimum 2+ years of experience in Service Parts Scheduling, and/or 6+ years of experience in production or inventory control, preferably with a medical device company.
- Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP systems, preferably SAP and Agile.
- Experience in coordinating forecasts and master parts schedules in a medium/high volume high mix service/RMA environment.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience working with Kanban systems and other Lean manufacturing principles.
- Detailed working knowledge of ERP material planning logic, and demand load/management.
- Demonstrates concern for precision and thoroughness.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks successfully.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Moderate or better knowledge of Excel
- Experience in A High volume ECO environment.
- Ability to sit at A desk for hours while working on A Computer to Create forecasts and Master schedules
