General description of the job
You will be part of the Aircraft Health Management System (AHMS) team and work with an emerging Digital Products team that is focused on one of the top priorities within the organization by introducing, implementing and sustaining Digital Products for Bombardier Aviation customers. You will work in close collaboration with cross functional teams and stakeholders across the organization such as Product Owners, User Experience UX/UI, Go-To-Market, Sales and Customer Support specialists. Join us and be an integral part of a dynamic and innovative team in one of the largest Business Aviation corporations.
In your role, you will:
- Build a close and collaborative relationship with your Agile Stream: your Product Owner, Product Design Lead, and Software Developers, to define and achieve product objectives, creative approaches and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver high level and detailed storyboards, concept diagrams, user interface sketches, mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications to effectively communicate interaction and design concepts and solutions.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Bombardier’s design principles, business objectives, customers, product portfolio, and competition - by conducting or participating in relevant user research, competitive analysis, and other design thinking activities.
- Develop and deliver visioning design strategy materials for our team stakeholders.
- Support Bombardier’s core Design Systems, and your Development Team as they deliver products that implement your designs.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate, you possess,
- Experience as a strong UX team member - a rich portfolio demonstrating samples of design deliverables (personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes) is required to apply for this role.
- The ability to conduct (or participate in) a wide range of product design skill-sets such as user research, brainstorming, concept design, detailed design, rapid prototyping, and usability testing.
- An Experience with responsive, cross-browser, and web app design using agile and iterative design processes.
- Creativity & Innovation: you seek new and better ways of doing things, generate original and imaginative ideas, products, or solutions
- Problem Solving abilities: you use an organized and logical approach to find solutions to complex problems. Looks beyond the obvious to understand the root cause of problems
- Collaboration & Teamwork abilities: you work with others to deliver results, meaningfully contributing to the team and prioritizing group needs over individual needs
- A capacity for open Communication: clearly conveys thoughts, both written and verbally, listening attentively and asking questions for clarification and understanding
- The commitment to continuously improve
- Decision Making abilities: you consistently choose the best course of action (from a number of alternatives) to address business problems and/or opportunities
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills. (Asset)
- Fluency in best practices for information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques. (Asset)
- Demonstrated history of gathering, analyzing, and learning from user data, creating personas, and journey maps. (Asset)
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Framer, or similar. (Asset)
- A Bachelor or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent degree. (Asset)
