Purpose of the Job
As a Reliability Engineer, you will perform a diversity of activities within the Safety and Reliability area throughout the whole lifecycle of our products and subsystems. We are looking for someone who will question our design to ensure that the products reach market with the best possible quality and reliability figures.
The Reliability engineer will apply engineering knowledge and specialist techniques to prevent or reduce the likelihood or frequency of product failures. As part of the requirements phase, the reliability engineer develops a test strategy together with the stakeholders based on reliability need and in consideration of cost, schedule and available resources.
You will be responsible for analysing, commenting and tracking of RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) requirements throughout the whole life cycle of our system, from Bid to field.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Perform Reliability analysis, provide CBC compliance statement and bless sheets for GA/SA Bids.
• Elicit, analyse, validate, verify, manage product and system requirements regarding RAM targets.
• Lead RAM Work Package in Projects, plan and execute Safety Qualification Test, deliver RAM statistics and reports.
• Support Product Development, Project Management and Homologation (e.g. explain requirements, assess non-conformities, propose improvements).
• Tutorial support, training and knowledge transfer, awareness training.
Qualifications
Key requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, systems science, railway or similar.
• Advanced experience in safety, reliability and/or RAM experience.
• Knowledge in railway operation, systems, products and solutions (both onboard and trackside components) will be considered a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of functionality and architecture of railway systems, especially ERTMS/ETCS and regional STMs as a plus.
• Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations.
• Basic and /or user experience in requirement management tools like DOORS and knowledge in data base design will be considered a plus.
• Experience in the application of relevant software tools (e.g. DOORS, Fault Tree+, etc.) will be considered a plus.
• Good understanding of product life cycle management and configuration management.
• Interest in the topic and goal-oriented way of working.
• Structured and analytical way of thinking.
• English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, Polish, German or other European language will be considered a plus.
• Excellent social, communication and presentation skills.
