Bombardier Business Aircraft’s Dallas Service Center is centrally located at Love Field Airport, and is the home of the Service Center Network headquarters. With its dedicated staff of over 110, the facility features 100,000 sq ft of space and is equipped to perform scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance, modifications, including interior modifications, avionics installations, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support for Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft. The Service Center has received certifications from FAA, EASA, Canada, Brazil, Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Mexico and South Africa.
The Material Handler will receive and inspect incoming and outgoing materials; order and distribute materials. Maintain inventory of purchased and manufactured parts, materials, tools and ground support equipment.
In your role, you will:
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
- Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner
- Receive / visually inspect all incoming and outgoing materials for physical damage (BAS Only)
- Distribute parts, materials, tools and ground support equipment with regard to aircraft delivery schedules. May assist in ordering parts if required (BAS only)
- Verify and reconcile appropriate documentation on incoming and outgoing parts and materials
- Maintain accurate inventory (via cycle counts, perpetual, work-in-progress) using computerized / manual systems to include purchased parts, manufactured parts, materials, tools, etc.
- Assist in loading / unloading shipments
- Transport and stock materials from one location to another as required throughout the facility
- Provide verbal or written turnovers for oncoming shifts
- Issue hand tools, machine tools, dies and / or rental equipment to authorized personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
- You typically have 0 – 2 years of experience in one of the following:
- Warehouse
- Shipping / Receiving
- Tool Crib
- You have a valid Driver’s License
- You have Customer Service Experience
- You have the ability to multi-task
- You have the ability to work under pressure
- You have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Working knowledge of MS Office - preferred
- You have basic knowledge of SAP - preferred
- You have previous experience in the aviation industry - preferred
- You have previous experience in material handling - preferred
- You have previous Forklift qualified - preferred
- You have export shipping experience - preferred
- You have a Hazmat Certification - preferred
