Product Manager

Adyen is looking for an experienced Product Manager to develop and manage Adyen's payment products in India. This role is part of the founding Adyen India team, focusing on building partnerships and products with leading third-party payment platforms and systems. These connections and partnerships enable Adyen’s merchants to access our global payments’ capabilities for online, in-store and truly global unified commerce.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for payment products in India, end-to-end.
• Lead the sourcing exercise to explore new payment partners and opportunities in the market to serve our merchants, from a product point of view.
• Working closely with our top merchants and understanding their needs, and subsequently work closely with the development teams and partners to build the suitable products end to end for our merchants.
• Building a go to market strategy to have the most impactful launch for your products; As a product owner, we are being asked to sell the proposition regularly through round table discussions in different countries, externally as well as internally.
• Managing and optimizing on existing connections; Identify the gaps and find solutions by creating and adding new features to our existing partners.
• Frequent travel is required.

Who you are

• High energy, dynamic, hands-on self-starter with a proven technical edge and entrepreneurial drive. At the same time, you have strong analytical skills and pragmatic.
• You have direct experience working in Product with at least one of the following: Payment methods, Acquirer, Schemes, Issuer, or other relevant payment-related field.
• You have a clear understanding of India payments and the surrounding ecosystem, such as e-commerce, e-services, fulfillment, or offline transaction systems. Have a strong focus on user experience optimization.
• You have previous exposure to environments rich in uncertainty and you show a resulting track record of successfully dealing with ambiguity.
• A strong and effective leader with the ability to operate comfortably and independently within a complex cultural, global environment.
• You are committed and you have demonstrated an ability to maintain high levels of productivity with minimal supervision. You have previous experience seeing projects through from beginning to end and owning the entire process.
• As the ‘go to’ person, you will have to wear many hats. We are looking for someone with exceptional people skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management, technical and commercial. You are comfortable going from a meeting with an engineer, a marketer, CFO, and an account manager, tailoring messaging based on the audience.
• Proven record of high performance managing complex initiatives to achieve outstanding results. A strong understanding of the importance of data and user optimization, providing actionable insights, and tracking those initiatives' success.
• English business level - any additional language is a plus.
