Sr. Analyst Business Insights, Walmart

Primary Purpose of the Position

The Channel and Customer Development Team for North America (NA) Consumer drives profitable growth and delivers on Category and Brand Objectives through superior Consumer Solutions, Customer Service and Retail Execution. The Senior Analyst Business Insights is responsible for the generation of analysis and resultant insights needed to support Category and Business Planning.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the channel sales team by providing best in class analysis, business insights, and ad hoc reporting to achieve the channel AOP
• Responsible for supporting the customization of Corporate Category Business Plans
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all customer scorecards
• Provides a detailed analysis of the state of the business and advises on the risks and opportunities within the business
• Tracks post promotional analysis to assess trade spending and promotional effectiveness/efficiency/opportunities/gaps and tracks customer results
• Collaborative planning and execution of Goodyear digital strategy for Walmart.com business
• Online content management and item maintenance for Goodyear portfolio through Walmart supplier center (HTML code)
• Manage online item maintenance, product detail pages, item descriptions, keywords and images
• The BIA is a category data expert and able to utilize Retail Link, EDW, and other data sources to provide sales and forecast insights to sales and supply chain leadership

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree is required; Masters Degree or MBA desired
• 5 or more years of experience within a business environment

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• High proficiency in analytics; advanced analytical and excel experience required to provide relevant business insights and new business opportunities.
• Strong communicator (formal and informal) (internal/external) Stakeholders at every level of the organization
• Ability to manage a portfolio of products, brands and apply knowledge of Category specific insights to the business situation
• Ability to access and analyze relevant information to develop knowledge of Consumers, Shoppers, Channels and Categories
