Our Great Opportunity

We are now looking for a Experienced Support Engineer that will provide technical service and support to our customers. In this role, you will fix and resolve problems to stabilize and optimize customer networks. You will configure and integrate different nodes and solutions in new and live customer networks.

The Experienced Support Engineer typically interacts with customer technical staff, operation managers, service engineers and other groups within the Service Delivery organization. You may also interact with groups in sales, R&D, 3rd party suppliers and local authorities.

Working as a support engineer will require a broad knowledge within telecom and Datacom, covering both hardware, software and network knowledge. You will work, collaborate, and communicate in an international environment, both with colleagues internally as well as customers and suppliers to Ericsson. The role more than often requires you to take on big responsibility and it is important that you can work independently.

You will

  • Handle customer Issues in RAN Domain independently
  • Analyze problems and identify suitable solutions to these problems
  • Act as investigation Leader for customer issues
  • Build communication with customer and internally
  • Software Update Management (SUM) handling
  • Handle emergency support on a roster
  • Share your knowledges and experiences within Ericsson proactively

To be successful in the role you must have

  • University degree in electrical engineering, computing, telecommunication, mathematics or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role or in providing Radio optimization end to end activities
  • Knowledge of Ericsson Radio System, RNC, BSC
  • Excellent knowledge of 2G/3G/4G standards
  • Good understanding of the Main critical metrics on the RAN Networks, ability to narrow down the problem and solve it based on important metrics analysis
  • Delivering results & meeting customer expectations
  • Willing to analyze, follow processes and work independently with minimal assistance
  • Expertise in technical trouble shooting
  • Native Russian and upper-intermediate English skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Networks
  • Knowledge of Unix, Linux (command line)
  • Programming skills (Python, etc.)
  • Creating & innovating
