Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience working in the music industry with online audience development
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience managing content strategy for an online platform

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SQL, and the ability to extract, cross-reference and interpret data from different sources
  • Ability to drive viewership or growth on online video platforms
  • Passion for YouTube and content creation
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment

About the job

As a Music Content Strategist, you will develop and scale insights across all content creation and YouTube features to help our partners improve their overall viewership, subscribers and growth. You will also help establish best practices for YouTube Music Artist and Label partners globally.

Responsibilities

  • Identify content and performance trends across YouTube and among specific music partner groups.
  • Develop, test and distribute insights, content strategies and best practices via Go-to-Market materials and trainings for internal teams.
  • Analyze and interpret data, define viewership patterns and growth metrics and deliver recommendations based on data.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Strategic Partnerships, Marketing, PR, and Product teams to support audience development initiatives and YouTube priorities.
  • Help design and execute audience development and programming strategy plans for select partners, channels and content.
