About the role: Create the high-level architecture, design and selects major components for ERTMS Onboard subsystems. Design, analyze, develop, test and demonstrate engineering solutions that solve complex requirements.
- Provide scheduling and cost estimates on project engineering planning.
- Provide technical expertise in support of other departments and less experienced engineering personnel.
- Analyse technical specification, customer requirement, norms and interfaces and provide system architecture and system design specifications
- Design engineering systems and complex interfaces, gathers and analyzes complicated technical data, solves system level design problems.
- Develops reliability, safety and maintainability approaches. Looks for an optimum design approach.
- Tests, demonstrates and documents system level designs, develops test procedures, leads design, delegates work to other team members
- Provide estimates for costs and Scheduling inside the project
- Train less experienced engineers, giving the required support, based on his expertise and experience. Work on high level of quality.
- Provides technical expertise in support of other functions / departments (Customer Service, Engineering Manufacturing, Field Start-up, Operations and Maintenance Manual production, Bids..).
Qualifications
- Electronics, Mechanics or Telecomunication Engineer
- Experience in vehicles and ERTMS onboard systems. Minimum 5 years.
- Experienced in multi-site projects.
- Flexibility and Trouble shooting skills.
- Customer orientation.
