ZS’s Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AI CoE) drives frontier innovations for our clients through applied AI research. The AI CoE charter is to solve complex problems leveraging state of the art advanced algorithms spanning emerging Deep Learning architectures for Natural Language Process (NLP) and Computer Vision, Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Representation learning, Graph-based algorithms, Causal models, Bayesian methods, Reinforcement Learning, Agent-based Simulation, and more.

As an AI Scientist, you will design algorithmic experiments for challenging problems across multiple domains, implement the algorithms, and translate results into thought leadership POVs. You will also support the shaping of the research agenda by engaging with our clients and ZS domain expert's

DATA SCIENCE CONSULTANT/AI

Responsibilities:

• Own research activities pertaining to the overall AI COE research agenda;
• Conduct background literature review related to specific research problems;
• Frame the research problems mathematically and design algorithmic experiments;
• Lead the technical execution of the experiments working with small teams;
• Translate outcomes into thought leadership content for publication;
• Prepare the abstracts & articles, and submit to leading AI and industry specific journals;
• Present the research in selected conferences;
• Interact with multiple research and product teams;
• Collaborate with ZS colleagues and client stakeholders to communicate ZS POV

Qualification :

• PhD degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or related discipline; plus 2+ years of relevant post-PhD work experience
• In lieu of a PhD, 4-6 years of relevant post-collegiate job experience;
• Experience with conducting research / publishing in AI areas of interest to the CoE (e.g., NLP, Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, Causal Models, Bayesian Methods, Graph-based algorithms, etc.)
• Relevant programming experience (Python preferred)
• Relevant domain knowledge preferred; (healthcare/hi-tech/insurance/ Retail/ Financial services)
• Strong attention to detail, with a research-focused mindset
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• High motivation, good work ethic and maturity
