Regional Operations Manager (East) - Mobile Operations (Open to Remote)

Primary Purpose of The Position
The Mobile Install division is a new business arm designed to drive e-commerce growth for Goodyear - Providing mobile tire installation to consumers and fleets. The Regional Operations Manager - Mobile Operations overseas multiple install markets and is responsible for planning, managing and executing all fleet operations activities. These operational activities include regional oversight of equipment, vendor relations and managing daily field technology needs - Ensuring high quality service levels are met. The incumbent will provide leadership (operational/cultural) over the Mobile Operations team (including fleet management, safety initiatives, continuous improvement of the technician workforce - Ensuring that centrally driven standard operating procedures [SOPs] and quality standards are consistently met). He/She is responsible for approximately half of the Goodyear United States (US) mobile installation geography (east/west) - Containing dozens of vans, retail stores and 6-12 markets.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Asset Management:
In concert with the Mobile Install Program Manager, plan/manage an assigned fleet of vans (within region). Manage the use of field technology (required for daily operations) - Which includes driver phones, Bring mobile app and all information technology (IT) peripherals. Continuously improve fleet uptime - Creating protocols with the Mobile Install Program Manager to drive safety/efficiency. Ensure Market Managers are overseeing their preventive maintenance schedules, cycling assets and executing new/old van replacement cycles. Conduct regular site visits to to ensure safety protocol adherence, van graphics are in presentable order and to provide support on operational issues. Financial responsibility for all van asset related items (including fuel, maintenance, repairs, washing, etc).
Planning:
Work closely with the Mobile Install Program Manager - Ensuring that SOPs are executed daily, but are also being continuously optimized, updated and communicated. Provide field-level input into the centrally driven design of a standardized national approach to mobile operations. Optimization should include key performance indicator (KPI) driven factors such as customer satisfaction, labor efficiency rates and safety. Partner with Retail Operators to ensure that Mobile/Retail Operations are working together effectively (items including refining inventory procedures, optimizing van store parking/charging, managing wholesale distributor service levels, etc).
Field Staff Planning and Management:
Lead a team of Market Managers - Ensuring budgets, KPIs and high-quality customer service levels are consistently met. Develop and continuously advance tools for labor planning (to be provided to Market Managers) - Ensuring consistently appropriate staffing levels. Work closely with the Mobile Install Program Manager to provide field-level feedback/input into efficiency, SOPS, training, safety, etc. Provide training/support to Market Managers (and thus driver technicians) on new logistics software, mobile technology, etc. Execute/Support all new pilot tests which can include new partnerships, operation tests and labor models for mobile installs. Financial responsibility for labor spends line items on profit and loss (P&L) statement.
Center of Excellence (COE) Retail Partnership:
Continuous improvement of Goodyears omni-channel environment - Working closely with COE District Managers, Directors and local management. Planning/Support of new store-based mobile operations (within respective region) - Ensuring office build-out, tire storage, Tire-Hub/logistics center (LC) supply chain protocols, etc. are effectively implemented/maintained. Support new pilot tests within region - Collaborating with central Mobile Operations team and COE retail partners.
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics or Operations Management or related field. In lieu of degree 12 or more years of experience working in fleet management/fleet operations
