JOB DESCRIPTION
Sr. Data Engineers execute on architecture vision and strategy to build the next generation data engineering platforms by designing flexible data pipelines and services that can expose core data capabilities to different applications and user bases.
Qualifications:
· Required
o Have 3 to 6 years direct professional experience in development
o Mastery of SQL and data modeling techniques
o Experience in ETL design and technologies (ETL, Big Data, Hadoop ecosystem, etc.)
o Intense passion for software and data engineering
o Experience in security best practices for software and data platforms
· Desired
o Worked in multiple database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQLServer, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, etc.)
o Experience with common Java REST/API frameworks
o Communicates clearly to explain and defend design decisions
o Self-motivated and excellent problem-solver
o Mentor and inspire others to raise the bar for everyone around them
· Nice-to-Have
o Worked in an Agile environment
o Prepared technical training and information sessions
o Experience in Test Driven Development

The Professional Services (PS) and Customer Success (CX) bonus plans are a quarterly monetary bonus plan based on individual and practice performance against specific business metrics. Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and active status at time of payout.
The Vertafore Incentive Plan (VIP) is an annual monetary bonus for eligible employees based on both individual and company performance. Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and active status at time of payout.
Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but common components include quota, MBOs and ABPMs. Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
