Job Description
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Identify potential areas of healthcare compliance risk and develop plans of action to address those areas of risk, working closely with Legal as needed
- Work with the South Cone Area Head and senior leadership on healthcare compliance-specific policies, procedures and specific SOPs, including ensuring effective training and documentation and assisting with SOP and policy drafting, as needed
- Take a leading role in establishing remedial activities for monitoring and audit findings and partnering with applicable department and functional heads to ensure the appropriate implementation of those corrective actions across functions
- Include supporting investigations as appropriate on compliance matters
KNOWLEDGE :
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a strong background and experience in a life-sciences industry company.
- MBA preferred.
- Fluent English (and Spanish) speaker to ensure effective communication across the region and to Global.
- >3 years of standard-setting performance in this role or a comparable role
Critical functional knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance concepts and practices (strategies, control activities, information analysis and reporting and communication)
- Good understanding of major laws and regulations in the pharmaceutical environment within South Cone countries region.
- Ability to develop and execute compliance training programs for employees to mitigate risk and fulfill business needs
Critical business expertise
- Significant expertise in conducting internal and external confidential investigation in region across a wide range of issues, including fraud, anti corruption, conflicts of interest, environmental health and safety, procurement, finance and human resources
Nature of Impact:
- Indirect impact to South Cone P&L by addressing risk and identifying mitigation plan to ensure business continuity
Communication Skills:
- Excellent downwards communication skills to attract, lead and motivate talents and align them with global strategy and vision
- Excellent upwards communication skills to drive program excellence, engage functional partners, and work closely with South Cone Area Head
