The IBM Watson Center is looking for an experienced Business Development professional who expands our client base and partner ecosystem to drive innovative projects. You promote and conduct co-creation with clients and partners, based on the scope and capabilities of the Watson Center. The goal is to raise the reputation and relevance of the Watson Center, so that it becomes recognized as the premier Center for innovation and digitalization.
You also work with the IBM sales team to win more potential clients and business partners to visit and collaborate in the Watson Center. You engage with the clients before, during, and after their stay at the Center to ensure the best possible business outcome for IBM.
You support the Watson Center teams to identify and adopt best practices and to implement the execution excellence needed to deliver inspiring client experiences. This includes defining a winning ecosystem strategy, bringing together clients, partners, start-ups, and universities for mutual benefits.
Your areas of responsibility comprise:
• Generate growth for the Watson Center regarding client visits, workshops, partner ecosystem, innovative capabilities and co-creation projects.
• Define and implement your ecosystem strategy and governance and provide leadership, creativity and personal engagement to achieve innovation and joint value creation.
• Use and build your network to identify, inspire and acquire new clients and partners to join the ecosystem. Build and maintain trustful and sustainable relationships.
• Work closely with and integrate the cross-IBM team, such as Global Markets, the Channel team, Project Executives, Global Business Services, Cloud, Partners to pursue business opportunities, generating revenue and increasing the reputation and relevance of the Watson Center.
• Lead conversations with C-Level contacts of existing and new clients to identify starting points for new topics and to expand the scope of existing projects.
• Lead innovation projects and win follow-on business to scale the innovation and sign reference agreements.
• Support client visits and briefings by contributing presentations and facilitating workshops about innovation, digital transformation and how IBM can help.
• You follow, understand and can explain trends in technology, how they contribute to innovation and digitalization, typical use cases, and the value they deliver.
• You know the concept of platform economies and are familiar with modern digitalized business models.
• You are familiar with Watson IoT and Industry 4.0, AI, Cloud, Blockchain and Security technologies and respective use cases in various industries.
• You demonstrate capabilities to anticipate business trends in various industries and to consult clients how to sustain their future readiness leveraging these trends.
• You have superb communication and presentation skills and are able to translate complex facts and concepts into laymen language.
• You have 3 to 5 years experience of building Watson IoT solutions with business partner and clients
• You have a deep understanding of the IBM Maximo product suite and portfolio
