The DevOps engineer works with ExxonMobil’s global infrastructure and applications to develop, automate and orchestrate systems and services for all of ExxonMobil. The DevOps engineer has skills to analyze existent systems and be up-to-date on the latest automation and virtualization technology, and understand and determine the system design needs for IT products and services. .

• Management of tools for monitoring, alerting, configuration management, automation and other relevant software applications;
• Develop scripts and applications in support of existing infrastructure automation initiatives in an Agile environment;
• Document process automation and update security standards for said process;
• Work in close coordination with architects, engineers, analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into end to end solutions;
• Security awareness (authorization and authentication);

• Good working knowledge of relational databases and SQL (e.g. Postgres, MSSQL Server);
• System administration experience (e.g. Linux, Windows);
• Experience with backend services (e.g. Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Splunk), including setup, administration, scaling and monitoring;
• Experience with OOP programming languages is a plus;
• Experience with containers (e.g. Docker) is a plus.
