Job Summary

As a NetApp Global Operations Program Manager you participate in providing project management services for internal operational programs from initiation through delivery. The Operations Projects managers act in the role of in-house consultants and manage all processes and systems relevant to the successful completion of internal services/support goals including: review of operational processes, technical and logistical requirements, identifying tasks, assigning and coordinating resources and creating/tracking project schedules. This is a highly visible and high impact position with the opportunity to work collaboratively with professionals in a number of Operations functions, such as supply planning, NPI, delivery and enablement, with a focus on developing, managing, tracking and documenting internal operational programs.

Job Requirements

Essential Functions:
Program Managers at this level are responsible for the readiness of the NetApp’s internal operational programs. You will define, manage and track business requirements, deliverables, program schedules and milestones for programs under the project managers. Specific responsibilities of the position include:

  • Develop and manage projects plans that take into account all the business requirements, milestones and deliverables associated with internal operational programs.
  • Work with the Operations functional groups to develop, document and communicate business model requirements, processes and tools.
  • Work with Operations teams and cross functional organizations to execute on the projects/plans.
  • Work and provide leadership to cross functional teams and drive operations requirements into
  • Enterprise IT and other Operations teams for operational/execution programs.
  • Develop measurement criteria and tools to monitor and drive continuous process improvement, and provide root cause analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills
  • Creative approach to problem solving, out-of-the box thinking ability
  • Flexible work hours, as required, to interface and support AsiaPac, EMEA and US Eastern time zones.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, and act in a lead role as a subject matter expert, within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria.
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain architecture and familiarity with the basic concepts of hardware and software development and NPI processes.
  • Proven aptitude for learning and adapting new technologies.
  • Ability to apply project management principles and best practices.
  • Program (Project) Management experience in Operations functions as well as cross functional projects.
  • B2B systems experience and working knowledge of RosettaNet standards is recommended.

Responsibility and Interaction:

  • Primary contact for tactical, daily, global operations support to reconcile order status, inventory system variances and data discrepancies.
  • The tasks are often unstructured and the issues addressed are less defined requiring new perspectives and creative approaches.
  • This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope that require in-depth evaluation.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions.
  • Operations Activity and Projects
  • Oversee Operation project portfolio, report issues and corrective actions, weekly.
  • Project manage operations process improvement initiatives as well as system implementations
  • Supply Chain control / support with the Global Supply Chain Teams.
  • (UAT) User Acceptance Testing participation, business validation and, as required, training, process documentation and cross-functional communication.
  • Prioritize business process changes and improvements to operations systems.
  • Work directly with NetApp legal and HR teams to ensure new projects/processes are in compliance globally.
  • Manage, record, administer and report project portfolio and deliver status updates to the executive team.
  • Ensure all process documentation is accurate and in compliance with NetApp requirements.
Education
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. 5 to 7 years of experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Management is required. MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to have completed technical projects in the area of Supply Chain Management,- Logistics, NPI, Delivery, CRM, ERP or supplier planning implementations.
  • 3-5 years in a global Project Management role with Project Management certification
  • Experience in advanced analytics, project management tools and cloud-based applications is highly desirable.
  • Professional working knowledge of Agile project management and Scrum master
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Microsoft, Asana project management tools
