Event Marketing Manager (Contractor)

Job Description

As an Event Marketing Manager , your main goal is to drive leads and awareness through industry events and webinars. You will help identify the best events to sponsor to generate new leads for our business and manage our webinar program from ideation to delivery. The role is tasked with developing, measuring, testing and implementing initiatives that will result in high quality lead generation and increase brand awareness in our target audience. The Event Marketing Manager will report to the VP of Marketing, Demand Generation.

About Marketing at CircleCI

As part of the Marketing team, Demand Generation is responsible for driving signups and leads to the CircleCI platform. We work in cross-functional teams, use data and user research to drive our decision making, believe in delivering quickly, measuring our results, and constantly refining our approach. What you’ll do:

• Complete end-to-end coordination and management of demand generation events including planning, promotion, execution, follow-up, and reporting for programs including conferences sponsorships, , partner events, and webinars
• Drive event strategy to make sure CircleCI is in front of the correct audiences
• Establish event success criteria (leads) and evaluate results against goals
• Organize all event materials, contracts, and budgets
• Manage the planning and cross-departmental coordination of attendees, training, schedules, and travel
• Maintain program calendar of events and research and plan for new events with appropriate audiences
• Work with design and content teams to manage booth design, collateral, and other swag

What we're looking for:

• 2+ years of event management experience, focus on demand generation a plus
• Familiarity with running virtual events and webinars, DevOps industry experience a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent planning, project management, prioritization, and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to strategize and analyze event effectiveness and ROI
• Experience with Salesforce and Marketo a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
