In this role, you have the opportunity to

Utilize your strong customer service and bilingual French-speaking abilities in this Customer Service Representative opportunity at Philips. This position requires interaction with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services. In addition, the customer care representative will handle and resolve customer complaints. An ideal candidate for this role will be an expert in delighting our customers; as well as, possess the heart and commitment to assisting people with a proven record of delivering world-class customer support.

The successful candidate will be home-based (i.e., work remotely) in the Greater Toronto or Markham, Canada area. Office-based workdays in our Markham office may be required for meetings or training.

Sponsorship and/or relocation expenses are not available for this role.

You are responsible for (but not limited to)

  • Provides world-class customer support via multiple channels to internal and external customers.
  • Receives customers’ requests by telephone, instant message, email, mail, etc. – analyzes requests, provides information requested.
  • Processes orders; Analyzes transactions, correct records, and adjusts errors.
  • Responsible for purchasing/sourcing products to complete customer requests.
  • Accountable for verification of, and correct documentation related to internal/external customer requests for service.
  • Resolves customer questions related to orders, takes orders as needed. Maintains liaison with other departments for order completion.
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships
  • Responds to customers’ requests in a timely manner.
  • Contact customers to ascertain data omitted on orders.
  • Knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time, drop-ship items, various marketing promotional services, and similar data, as required.
  • Prepares and forwards preliminary paperwork to Returns and Replacements on problem orders/Warranties.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bilingual capabilities in English and French, required; supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) as required for a 24/7 customer service call center environment.
  • Will be required to work a variety of schedules depending on business need (including days, mid-days, weekends, and holidays).
  • 1 + years of customer service or relevant industry-related experience
  • High School Education or equivalent is required; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Energetic, friendly, outgoing, proactive personality and phone business acumen
  • Superb organizational skills with attention to detail supported by the discipline to manage a remote work from home schedule.
  • Ability to analyze situations relating to customer needs and react accordingly in a timely fashion
