Chief Medical Officer - Employee Labor Relations 001 - Part-Time,Day - Ascension Medical Group - Birmingham,AL

This is part-time, 2 days a week, administrative position with the opportunity to be full-time with the inclusion of clinical practice for 3 days a week.

What You Will Do

As a Chief Medical Officer for Ascension Medical Group, Birmingham, AL you will have the opportunity to provide the overall clinical vision for the organization and oversees clinical activities and quality across the organization. This is part-time, 2 days a week, administrative position with the opportunity to be full-time with the inclusion of clinical practice for 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Leads and implements the clinical direction for the Ascension Medical Group.
• Oversees the monitoring, measurement and quality improvement of clinical care.
• Collaborates, develops, and leads the implementation of operational plans.
• Develops and implements strategic goals related to the quality improvement and management programs.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
  • Licensed Graduate Doctoral Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master’s degree in health or hospital administration, business administration, or a related field preferred.
    

Work Experience:

• 10 years of experience required.
• 15 years of experience preferred.
• 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
