Logistics Analyst Mobile Operations

(Open to remote locations in East Region)

Primary Purpose of the Position

The Mobile Install division is a new business arm designed to drive e-commerce growth for Goodyear providing mobile tire installation. The Logistics Coordinator Mobile Operations is responsible for the (daily) tactical support for fleet operations activity (enabled by Goodyears logistics software platform). This position will support leadership/field operations daily - Implementing order capacity settings, route optimization configuration changes, technical support on driver technician mobile software, etc. The incumbent will be part of the central Mobile Install team and support all field operations as a 24/7 super-user of the logistics software. This role has the primary function to ensure that installs are planned accurately to enable field execution of the highest quality.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

Primary point-person for all items related to configuring, maintaining and initial facility setups for the logistics software platform. Work closely with manager to implement weekly capacity settings into logistics software platform - Ensuring that website scheduling page accurately reflects logistics capacity. This role manages all configuration changes (including van in-service counts, capacity changes, new store openings, network alterations, parade and other local events). Regular communication with customer service center to support any questions fielded regarding vans and install history. Provide daily support on driver technician questions/issues with the company provided mobile software solution.

Support manager in analysis/continuous improvement of the Mobile Install network. Design/Execute "what if" simulations within the logistics software to provide insight into network design changes (including site selection, van alterations and order density changes). Post simulations - Pull together recommendations for review with management and implement approved changes into system. Create/Maintain standard last mile reports for Central Mobile Operations Reporting and analytics (will be a combination of homegrown reports and reporting derived from the Business Intelligence section of the logistics software).

Regular visits to all field operations sites - Ensuring driver/store feedback is continuously understood and implemented into the logistics software. Quarterly visits with field operations (including Store Manager, Market Manager and Driver Technicians). Capture needs/recommendations for software/mobility solution improvements from field operations. Work with management team/3rd party vendors to prioritize and enable the production systems. Working with the Program Manager, ensure that all driver ratings under 3 stars are addressed with driver and/or customer.

Education & Certifications

Bachelors degree in Business Management, Logistics or Operations Management or in lieu of degree 5 or more years of experience in Fleet Management / Fleet Operations / Logistics Management / Operations Analysis.

Experience

  • Experience in Fleet Management/Fleet Operations/Logistics Management/Operations Analysis
  • Experience working with logistics software packages (including field mobility solutions)
  • Logistics experience - Either field execution or central support function
  • Experience creating/maintaining logistics reports/analytics
