Micron Technology’s Managed NAND Development team is focused on developing advanced solid-state storage products for the Mobile, Embedded, Industrial and Automotive Industries.

Managed Memories are based on a Flash Translation Layer (FTL), which is a software + hardware system that manages the underlying Flash Non-Volatile memory in a way that is transparent to the Host system.

FTL is a Flash File System that abstracts all physical properties and requirements of a Flash Memory to the above system layers, allowing them to access the memory with a traditional logical addressing approach.

Within this development area, you will develop SW tools to support extraction and analysis of FTL data structures starting from raw data as stored in Flash, in order to improve failure analysis of returned/failed units and infer information about the customer usage model.

Qualifications:

• Deep Embedded micro-controller-based platform architecture knowledge
• Advanced FW Architecture knowledge
• Advanced understanding of semiconductor device physics
• Basic Knowledge of mainstream semiconductor memory technologies such as DRAM, NAND, NOR, and PCM
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and team building skills
• Self-starter with strong work ethic

Education: Bachelor or higher-level degree in Electronic Engineering or Physics.A About Us
