Specimen Processing Tech
Department: Lab St John Tulsa
Schedule: 40 hours weekly, Full Time Night Shift 1030p-7a rotating holidays
Location: RML Tulsa, Ok.

Regional Medical Laboratory Inc. (RML), part of Ascension St. John Health System, is a nationally-renowned commercial reference laboratory that provides testing services for physicians and hospitals within a four-state region and performs more than 9 million procedures each year. RML provides services for multiple hospitals in the Oklahoma region and several satellite locations in Tulsa, northeastern and central Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas.

Responsibilities:

As an Associate with St John Health System, you will have the opportunity to facilitate the testing and tracking of specimens.

• Prepares specimens for testing, analysis or shipment to external laboratories. Collects blood specimens from patients following established procedures.
• Performs data entry and tracks specimens. Records daily information in required laboratory logs and performs audits.
• Maintains specimen handling and testing supplies.
• Performs proper disposal of specimens

Preferred Credential(s):

• Phlebotomy Tech.

Education:

• Diploma
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience:

• None required.
