Candidate should drive continuous process improvement and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and software development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.

What you will do:

  • You will collaborate with Developers, Technical Product Managers, Architects, Engineering Managers and Product Managers to turn high level project objectives into stories with feature details in an agile development environment
  • Work to balance objectives and manifest these as clear, stable priorities for the team.
  • You'll produce scalable, flexible, efficient and supportable solutions using appropriate technologies
  • Manage projects, drive delivery, plan/organize work, manage risks, communicate effectively and adapt to inevitable challenges.
  • You'll continuously improve existing solutions building new technologies
  • You effectively balance trade-offs between cost/schedule versus business benefit.
  • Provide thought leadership to the team on massive-scale application issues such as reliability, serviceability, and performance.
  • Actively contribute to our team's culture of having fun, embracing change, and delivering customers amazing
  • You'll support and follow the Expedia Software Development Lifecycle and actively advance standard methodologies (e.g. Agile/Scrum, Continuous Delivery).
  • You’ll ensure your team delivers high quality & on-time products and continuously innovates to improve engineering efficiency
  • Drive program & system architecture discussions to identify a suitable quality solution to the business requirement.

Who you are-You’ll fit this role if you have:

  • Bachelors or masters in a technology focused business degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant years of program/project management within a technology environment, with a forward-thinking record of successful delivery of complex software systems or services.
  • Experience in building service-oriented architecture solutions, RESTful Micro Services/distributed RPC, XML, JSON etc
  • Experience/Understanding of in DB/SQL queries, Relational DB, No-SQL DBs
  • Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of business and technical choices & identify what truly matters; problem solving skills a requirement.
  • Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of vendor, business and technical leadership.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software processes (development, configuration, testing, and deployment) is critical in this role.
  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills are important.
  • Passion to make things better at every opportunity.
  • Ability to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Familiarity with travel domain
  • Familiarity with AWS/Cloud
  • Experience with business metrics, modeling and/or risk management
  • Prior experience as a scrum manager or agile product owner
  • Business/Process Analyst experience
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive innovation independently
