The Media Talent & Development Global Center of Excellence (COE) team are functional experts that set our global strategy for talent, development, learning, and performance. Our team creates scalable solutions that are relevant, innovative and connected to the business strategy and globally relevant. We take an outside-in approach to develop best in class processes and tools that can be deployed by our People Strategy and People Experience teams. We are interconnected and highly networked within our People Team and business.

Summary of Role:
The Talent & Development Specialist is a key contributor for the development and implementation of talent, skills, development, and performance programs for Nielsen people and managers around the globe. The T&D Specialist provides foundational support for the design, delivery, programmatic support, and evaluation of Talent & Development priorities aligned with the talent strategy of Nielsen Media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with People Strategy leads, manager, and T&D team members to analyze skills, learning, development, and performance needs aligned the talent strategy of Commercial, PTOC, and Corporate teams
  • With support, contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of scalable skills, learning, development, and performance programs or modify and improve existing initiatives for Nielsen Media businesses
  • Coordinate skills, learning, development and performance programs activities with relevant stakeholders, including cross-functional People Strategy/Experience team members, Communications, and business leaders
  • Uncover and understand global intricacies and identify solutions to make programs/solutions successful, relevant, and impactful
  • Leverage data analysis skills to bring a data-driven approach to programs/solutions; use communication skills to convey finding from data
  • Bring an outside-in perspective to uncover and implement best practices for key Talent & Development priorities
  • Partner with People Strategy and Talent & Development COE manager in identifying and implementing forward-looking solutions to enhance the performance and effectiveness of our organization and teams within the different business teams

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of Human Resources experience
  • Proficiency in Google for Work/ Microsoft Office including Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong execution skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Self-starter, problem-solver, proactive
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with general direction
  • Ability to work in a global environment with global teams
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills (in-person and virtual)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Engaging and proactive team player

  • Demonstrates high degree of integrity and maintains confidentiality

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience with learning & development program coordination
  • Experience with learning & development systems
