Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) is a cloud and cyber services provider with a mission to be the digital transformational partner of choice for clients. This supports the Capgemini group ambition to be a leader for leaders.

We are a global business, generating a revenue of 2bn euros, serving our global clients and supported by state-of-the-art right shore delivery centres in Eastern Europe and India.

The focus of your role

In order to drive the growth agenda in Cloud Infrastructure Services, we are looking to expand our team. You will assist in the management and Administration of our Monitoring and Automation platforms to support our service offering to our customer.

You will be part of a UK Tooling and Automation team, where you will take the role of a SME in automation, monitoring and systems management. Responsible for technical development of the platforms and resolving day to day issues.

What you'll do

More specifically your responsibilities include:

• Working with Clients to enhance the service to meet business needs
• Ensuring services are delivered to SLA and KPI targets
• Driving automation across all of CIS offerings
• Provide enhanced support for the platforms
• Providing a tooling and automation input to customer affecting issues
• Actively support and facilitate the capability development of apprentices and junior colleagues
• Maintenance and production of technical documentation to facilitate knowledge share and skills development
• Working with vendors to develop roadmaps for future capabilities

• Experience working with monitoring solutions
• Experience of a Systems Management toolsets
• Experience working with automation solutions
• Understanding of Windows, Unix, Linux Operating systems
• Ability to develop code in Python or PowerShell
• Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving
• Confident, self-motivated and able to work under pressure with a minimum of supervision
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and meet tight deadlines
• Team player (ability to work with other Capgemini teams to provide a service to an agreed SLA)
• Flexible with working outside core hours
• Comfortable in a client/business facing role
• Proficient in verbal and written communication
• Willing to undertake DV Clearance

Previous Experience

Ideally you will bring the below previous experience or certification:

• Understanding CI\CD Principles
• Experience of developing infrastructure as Code solutions
• Experience of Nagios based monitoring systems
• Experience of Automation Orchestration systems
• Experience of Puppet, Chef or Ansible
• Experience of Elastic Stack
• Experience of working to Agile principles
• Knowledge or Experience of the following technologies
o Database
o Containerisation
o Virtualisation
o Cloud Platforms
o Security Tooling
o Network {SNMP}
