Location: The Polyclinic Madison Center
Position Summary:
The RN’s primary role is to provide and assess patient care; support the provider’s practice by performing clinical duties and assisting in the coordination of patient care, and progress while administering treatment. The RN’s communication, conduct and performance should support the Polyclinic’s efforts in becoming a high performance organization.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers into the practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary both on the phone and in person.
- Administer IV medication following the plan of care and physician orders.
- Administer injections and oral medications following the plan of care and physician orders.
- Triage and monitor the patient while undergoing IV Therapy.
- Assess and analyze the patient’s progress during and upon completion of the treatment and communicate outcomes to the provider.
- Complete documentation and records with accuracy for the care administered and necessary for the patient’s care.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, free of clutter.
- Maintain clean patient treatment areas
- Stock and prepare treatment and work areas as needed.
- Order and maintain the inventory, and stock in the area according to the policies and procedures established by the Practice Management Dept. and Central Supply
- Practice safety and OSHA regulations in regards to biohazard waste and non-biohazard waste.
- Follow established policies and procedures for the department to ensure a safe environment for patients and coworkers.
- Understand and deliver quality customer service consistent with the Polyclinic’s efforts in becoming a High Performance Organization.
- Participate and contribute in a team-based environment
- Participates and contributes to process improvement (CPI/Lean) efforts.
- Follow OSHA/WISHA (including usage of PPE) guidelines
- Follow HIPPA regulations
- Adapt and perform effectively in a continuously changing environment, and in occasional difficult situations.
- Maintain a team supportive attendance record.
- Communication, conduct and dress portray a professional quality at all times.
Requirements
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Certification/Licensure:
- Current Washington State RN license; BCLS certification is preferred.
- Obtain ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate within two years of employment.
Experience:
- Working as an RN for one to two years.(preferred)
