Senior Developer (Big Data), S/4 Incubation

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a Senior Developer, you will establish successful partnerships with SAP technical leadership, subject matter experts and supporting team members for Big data architecture and software engineering principles. You will work alongside architects and engineers to design secure & scalable software solutions for Eureka’s services. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE

• 5-7 years experience with high-scale, high performance and high availability server development in one of the public clouds (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• 2 years of work or educational experience in Big data.
• Background in data modeling and performance tuning in relational and no-SQL databases
• Experience with data practices (security, data management and governance)
• Experience with distributed computing technologies including Spark, Kafka, Pub/sub, Hive/pig, MapReduce, etc.
• Experience with various databases including PostGreSQL, MongoDB, Redis,etc.
• Expertise in some or all of the following: Data Pipelines, Data Warehousing, Statistics, Metrics development
• Strong understanding of SQL
• Broad knowledge of the data infrastructure ecosystem
• Familiarity with cloud vendors (AWS, GCP or Azure) and their offered cloud services.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with Data Lake, Data Warehouse or Data Mart is a plus.
• Experience scaling technical teams a plus
