Designation: Analyst - LIMS/ MODA Support
GCL : C3
Support Analyst for Quality Control Systems – Reports to QC Service Lead (Operations)
The main responsibilities of the role are to:
- Ensure optimum performance and stability for multiple systems for the Laboratory and Manufacturing Quality Systems capability (LIMS, MODA, ELN, Chromatography data) for AstraZeneca Operations, including providing workarounds and identifying areas for improvement or solutions to permanently address the issue
- Provide 2nd/ 3rd line support (technical queries, bug fixes and small enhancements relating to application and platform), complying with Astra Zeneca standards, change control procedures
- To develop utility tools with .Net or equivalent technology for productivity improvement for Business and IT.
- Take ownership of issues through from delivery or issue resolution or escalation, as appropriate
- Support development activities by helping in code build and deployment, tool configuration management and administration, application environment set up, change and release management
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups
- Develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems, documenting and sharing that knowledge, as required, with global teams
- Liaise with multiple stake holders including users, infrastructure/middleware teams, 3rd party software vendors for resolving issues and potential process improvements
- Train, guide and mentor new hires in the team
Essential Experience: (Must have skills)
- 3-4 years of application development, troubleshooting and maintenance (L2/L3) experience on web applications built on the Microsoft .NET framework (ASP, VB, C#) and Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications.
- Understanding of incident, problem, change and release management process
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups
- Development and troubleshooting experience with MS SQL Server (2008 and higher)
- Development and troubleshooting experience with Oracle 11g and higher version.
- Good understanding of Microsoft IIS/Web Services (IIS 7.0, IIS 6.0)
- Experience working with tools like Microsoft Visual Source Safe, Microsoft Visual Interdev, Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Developer, Toad.
- Experience in setting up and managing application environments.
- Mindset to support business critical applications
Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)
- Familiarity with life sciences (Pharma) domain concepts, workflow and terminology
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements including GMP, GxP and 21 CFR Part 11. Exposure to LIMS system validation in GxP environment preferred.
- Experience on Windows/UNIX application environment and understanding of client-server / distributed computing concepts
- Basic understanding of session virtualization concepts, exposure to Citrix working environments
- Support experience on chromatography data software (CDS), preferably on Waters Empower, MODA, ELN and SDMS system like NuGenesis.
Educational Qualifications
UG - B.Tech /B.E. or other equivalent technical qualifications
