Shopper Marketing Analyst

About the Position

The Shopper Marketing Analyst supports the Shopper Marketing team with a focus on our National Promotions and Tire & Service Network pillar of work. This associate will be charged with providing tactical support for national promotions, including digital campaign management, reporting and analytics for these promotions, managing the relationship with Goodyear’s consumer rebate vendor, leading our in-store merchandising efforts, and providing executional support for our annual Customer Conference.

Primary Responsibilities

  • National promotions support
    • Work with Goodyear’s advertising agency to lead the creative execution for digital and social media ads
    • Pull data from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) program into Microsoft Excel for basic promotional analysis
    • Creative vendor performance score card and review performance data across multiple vendors and marketing tools
    • Leverage Excel acumen to summarize and provide topline analyses of these consumer promotions and marketing tools
    • Provide Shopper Marketing managers with insights based on this data to help assess how a promotion is tracking versus its budget, how it might be impacting sell out of specific tire lines, etc.
  • Own and manage the relationship with Goodyear’s consumer rebate administration and processing vendor
    • Lead the program set-up and back-end data management for consumer promotions across the Shopper Marketing team
    • Ensure clear and consistent communications with this vendor partner through regular status meetings and effective written & verbal communications
    • Seek to identify ways to streamline ways of working through process improvement opportunities, data reporting efficiencies, and finding synergies within the promotional set-up process
    • Triage rebate processing issues by serving as the liaison between our rebate processing vendor and Goodyear’s Consumer Relations team
  • Lead Goodyear’s in-store merchandising efforts for independent dealers
    • Inventory existing in-store merchandising and marketing materials and identify usage rates for the tactics, with the end goal of streamlining and optimizing the materials we provide to independently owned tire dealers
    • Work with Senior Shopper Marketing Manager to develop a forward-thinking merchandising strategy and program based on shopper insights and retail best practices
  • Provide executional support for Goodyear’s Customer Conference
    • Assist with event planning logistics, including trade show planning, graphics development and on-site vendor management

Required Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or communications
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an advertising or marketing role
  • Strong analytical background
  • Agency or vendor management experience

Preferred Experience

  • CPG marketing experience with a domestic company
  • Direct to consumer marketing
  • Shopper marketing
  • Trade show execution

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong project management, communication and organizational abilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks daily
