We are currently seeking a Telecommunications Project Leader or Manager to join our team in Montpelier, Vermont (US-VT), United States (US).

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides supervision to a small or moderately sized team of operational, production, sales, service or administrative personnel.
• Administers policies and guidelines that directly affect team work activities.
• Establishes deadlines for completing assignments.
• Supervises teams that perform multiple tasks and possess a variety of skills and knowledge.
• Leads department to reduce costs and improve service delivery to the client.
• Manages any planned system changes which will affect hardware, software, communications, and / or applications, ensuring system availability is not impacted.
• Develops standards and processes to enhance department effectiveness.
• Meets with managers and Lines of Business (LOBs) to discuss system requirements, specifications, cost and timelines.
• Assists in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics.
• Provides regular reporting of metrics to senior leadership including recommendations to improve performance.
• Previous managerial/leadership experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of planning and forecasting techniques for Systems Administration department.
• Proven ability to manage a department or group.
• Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical information to all stakeholders, including those who do not have a technical background.
• Understands and able to drive budgeting process.

Basic Requirements:

• 6+ years of telecommunications experience in areas such as: POTS, ISDN PRI and BRI, T1, T3, G711, G729, TDM, VoIP technologies and terminologies including but not limited to SIP, SBC, SIP Trunking, IP routing, OSI Model, DNS, QoS, Difserv, Jitter, latency, MOS Score, Codec, mainframe, SAN, virtual server technologies, data networking, Ethernet, cloud solutions, SaaS.
• 5+ years in team leadership or management within a technical area in a medium to large corporate.
  

Desired Skills:

• Avaya experience
• Knowledge and experience with corporate print operations
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work under difficult situations under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple situations and prioritize accordingly.
• Excellent problem diagnostic skills.
• ITIL V2, 3 or 4 Certification
• Certifications in any telecommunications-related areas are a plus
