DevSecOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced release manager for this DevSecOps Manager role, to own the release management process and overall process results.

The Role

Being responsible for the overall quality and security of the services and the process, you will be the main coordinator within this process and the focal point regarding releases for both the customer and the IT organization.

Release managers today must have comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD protocols and DevOps auto deployment tools as well as ensuring security. They must understand how the CI/CD pipeline, which is central to the quick release cycle, works, and be able to identify defects early. In addition, release managers must understand:

• Feature Toggles: A unique prevailing tool that enables developers to amend system behavior without altering the code, to help expedite the release cycle.
• Branch Handling: Used for parallel development of different patches of software.

In addition to all responsibilities and reporting around release management, you will ensure services implement required security features such as authentication, authorization, input validation and denial of service mitigation and lead development teams in threat modeling and vulnerability assessment and work with the team to go through SAP Security Validation process.

Role Requirements

As an experienced Release Manager, you will have a background in releasing services in a Cloud environment as well as security coding, vulnerability assessment and threat modeling.

You will need to have technical experience in:

• Governing both waterfall and Agile/DevOps project lifecycles
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Spinnaker, Bitbucket, and Travis CI
• Software development, programming, and management tools

S/4 HANA Consumer Industries Cloud is a new business unit at SAP S/4HANA with a focus on Industry Cloud, an emerging market segment where SAP guides its customers towards evolving their industry-centric business models with new processes, tools, and business services. SAP CIC complements SAP existing Business Suite as well as helps the entire company keep pace with new market trends in Industry Cloud.

SAP S/4 HANA CIC holistically targets the strategic industries Consumer Products, Retail, Wholesale, and Life Sciences. As a dedicated unit, it takes a start-up approach to developing new cloud products and brings together the product strategy and Product Management for these four industries with all the necessary cloud business functions, such as architecture, engineering, and operations along with development of cloud-native applications.
