As a Fleet Maintenance Manager, your job will include the following.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate maintenance and repairs of all locomotives, coach cars, and maintenance of way equipment according to the Fleet Maintenance plan, regulations, OEM recommendations, and industry best practice.
- Establish plans and schedules to meet availability, reliability and maintainability of rail equipment based on technical equipment recommendations, rail regulations and/or Customer's requirement.
- Analyze and coordinate all rail equipment data and equipment failure reports, root cause analysis as to insure timely maintenance schedule and resolutions of FRA non-compliance or Customer's concerns.
- Improve reliability, lower operating costs, asset availability, fleet safety and product quality.
- Direct, coordinate and control staff and supervision to accomplish and meet schedules in compliance with Maintenance contract.
- Lead and participate in the evaluation and succession planning of personnel.
- Analyze work efficiency and optimize based on continuous improvement processes.
- Utilize KPI’s to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
- Review budgets and support Corporate processes such as PMP, ISO and OHSAS.
- Exhibit excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with 12+ years of experience managing Rail Fleet Maintenance OR Associate’s degree with 10+ years of experience managing Rail Fleet Maintenance OR Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience managing Rail Fleet Maintenance.
