Join us as a Mechanical Engineer
and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Cairo.
Prepare the deliverables of the technical compliance of the depot equipment and switches scope from preliminary and detailed design completion, delivery, testing and commissioning through to final approval.
Defines the technical interfaces between sub systems.
Reports to E&M Lead Engineer that communicates with other subsystems lead Engineers and other partners for managing the interfaces and record the changes.
Key responsibilities:

Support a cross-functional team to successfully complete the Product Adaptation and Integration obligations on time, with the objective of maximizing Customer satisfaction while incorporating all appropriate Governance processes

Prepare all necessary design documents for Track Switches and Depot Equipment systems.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of design documentation and any other input (Compliance matrix / RAMS).

Responsible to provide testing procedures for relevant systems to Testing & Commissioning team.

Provide/Review the specification of tests that are necessary to confirm successful system integration

Ensure the factory testing of the products at subsystem and integrated system levels, ensuring the equipment are properly integrated and fit to support introduction to service.

Collect all relevant data for compliance matrix process and RAMS related to Track Switches and Depot Equipment system.

Provide integrated reporting on progress, delay from sub-systems level to integration level.

Support the System integration and System Assurance teams to Interface with partners to ensure Bombardier interface requirements are understood and met the scope of work.

Interact with partners and subcontractors; and home office staff. Ensure each party is fed with design input to review and that comments are incorporated.

Support the System integration to Interface with parties (subsystems design leads) to ensure fully completion of relevant interface documents between concerned partners.

Support development of any specified tools, test equipment, training materials, and other enabling products necessary to efficient contract delivery of signalling and control system scopes.
Qualifications
Key requirements:
-
Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
-
5+ years of similar experience
-
Experience with review of technical documentation of railway equipment
-
Detailed knowledge of monorail vehicle and depot equipment systems will be a plus
-
Working knowledge of planning & scheduling criteria
-
Ability to work in a team environment and interface
-
Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
