About this role:

The Marketing Analytics Data Scientist is a critical member of the Enterprise Marketing Analytics Team. You will leverage your prior marketing analytics experience to provide analyses and insights to global marketers in order to help them develop and optimize effective strategies and tactics aimed at influencing their customers. You’ll work on a variety of programs from testing email marketing to lead scoring and attribution analysis, and beyond. This role represents the initial founding data scientist within the marketing organization providing more advanced analysis to our marketers. In your role you will help shape the future direction of a data science practice within the global marketing organization. Your intellectual curiosity and ability to synthesize and communicate complex information will make you a highly valued Subject Matter Expert.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work cross-functionally with IT, UX, and marketing teams to drive improved campaign performance and grow a culture of effective data-driven decision making.
  • Identify and prioritize new projects by evaluating potential for impact relative to effort/feasibility.
  • Perform advanced analysis on marketing programs and tactics and provide synthesized results and recommendations to marketing campaign owners.
  • Work with marketing teams and other stakeholders to establish attribution modeling, pathing analysis, and media-mix modeling frameworks for use throughout the global marketing organization.
  • Establish standards for campaign performance measurement that help the company apply statistically sound analysis.
  • Perform analysis of KPIs and Benchmarks to help marketers establish and share best practices across marketing campaigns and tactics.
  • Develop and maintain lead scoring models for multiple demand gen programs.
  • Provide advanced analytics expertise to support marketing technology investments decisions (buy vs. build).
  • Drive innovation by developing new techniques and approaches that sharpen our marketing decision-making process.
  • Stay abreast of new trends in digital marketing and latest data science techniques applicable to our marketing goals.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, IT, or other similar area of study. Masters degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing analytics or business intelligence (focused in marketing) with a proven track record of delivering performance results required.
  • An understanding of digital media (social, search, display)
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms like DoubleClick (Campaign Manager), Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, and Salesforce.
  • Strong SQL skills and advanced programmatic expertise in R or Python.
  • Data visualization skills using Tableau or similar tools.
  • Experience building and implementing lead scoring models for demand gen programs.
  • Highly motivated and flexible individual with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful and timely delivery
